Senior Consultant
Joanne Start is a Senior Consultant with BPI group, North America.
Ms. Start joined the company in 2009, bringing 25 years of expertise in leadership development, executive coaching, human resource management, team building and strategic planning.
In her current role, Ms. Start focuses on executive team facilitation, executive coaching, and high-potential leadership development in large scale corporate organizations and health care systems.
Prior to joining BPI group, Ms. Start held a similar position with Executrack, Inc., an Atlanta-based career transition and management consulting firm that was acquired by BPI group. She also led the worldwide HR team of a Fortune 500 staffing firm and held executive-level positions in HR, labor and policy at General Motors Corporation. Her experience in the consulting area includes serving as interim vice president for a HR consulting company in talent acquisition and development and as principal of a consulting firm that served corporate, university and health system executives and executives of family-owned businesses. In 2008, she was named a Master Coach for the Ascension Health System countrywide.
Ms. Start holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in communications from Wayne State University. She is a licensed Management Research Group network associate, and is certified in leadership, strategic, team and 360° instruments for executives and senior leadership teams. Ms. Start provides board, trustee and leadership expertise to several non-profit, human resource and community organizations and, over the years, has been the recipient of numerous professional and community leadership awards.
