Matt Kerr

Director, Business Development BPI group

Matt Kerr is a Director, Business Development with BPI group, North America.

He joined the company in 2009, bringing more than 20 years of human resources experience including executive search, career transition, talent acquisition and labor relations.

Mr. Kerr is part of the firm’s Career Transition practice, which offers a highly personalized approach to career planning and transition services for companies, executives and other professionals. He also serves as a career transition and outplacement consultant supporting executives and managers in a variety of industries.  Among his sourcing and coaching strategies, Mr. Kerr leverages Web 2.0 applications and technology to help connect people to the right opportunities. With this expertise, he also counsels job networking groups and individuals interested in understanding how to use online resources in their career searches.

Prior to joining BPI group, Mr. Kerr conducted executive searches as a Principal for Talent Integration, and he served as Human Resources Director for Patrick Engineering. On the corporate side, he worked for 15 years at Motorola in several positions, including Senior Human Resources Operations Manager. Other experience included serving as an outplacement counselor with several career management firms.

Mr. Kerr has a Master’s degree in human resources management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in business from Loyola University of Chicago. He is the site owner and moderator of The Chicagoland HR Transition Group, a 900-plus member online group that facilitates career networking among HR professionals in the Chicago market.
