Stella Cannon is a Director of Talent Programs with BPI group, North America.
In her human capital consulting role, she develops global workforce capabilities that produce leadership, individual, organizational and team development solutions with measurable business results. Her approach is tailored to specific organizational cultures and needs, providing both practical and innovative talent management services that maximize performance. She has developed best practice methodologies and approaches for succession management, hi-potential leadership development, team engagement and change management across various industries.
Prior to joining BPI group, Ms. Cannon spent 15 years as a recognized leader in building and managing L&OD functions for several Fortune 500 organizations. She served as director of performance, learning and development for AIMCO, the largest owner and operator of apartment communities in North America. She was a key member of the leadership team that shaped the firm’s talent programs, resulting in employee mobility, customer satisfaction and organizational profitability advancements.
Ms. Cannon also spent six years as manager of learning and organizational development for Discover Financial Services, where her innovative human capital strategies improved both employee and organizational performance. As the training manager for Conseco Insurance Company, she was responsible for building the first training department for the company’s network of 120 independent sales agencies, consisting of 30,000 employees. Her breadth of experience includes financial services, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, both with mid-size and large, global corporations.
Ms. Cannon earned her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Business Management. She also studied Teaching Negotiations in the Organization at Harvard Business School. Her certifications include Certified Performance Consultant (CPT), a variety of assessment tools including MBTI and PDI 360°, DDI facilitator, and executive coach through NAVIGATE, a global coaching program.
